It is his brother (former life as part of the military and associated with Malcolm X and M.L King ) whom we can conveniently name Niren, that was very likely to have been Kusham. If there was some confusion, it is probably because Viren's former life resembled many of the Kushams who tend to take on many socio-political roles.
.
.
Update Jan 2007
Well well well - the newsflash is that although our friend Niren has been clued up about good ole Vish, he also has been his main partner in crime - much more so then Viren! But still, what with Viren being the eldest, we will not let him off the hook. It gets better - there may be yet another brother somewhere in between Viren and Niren; now this is a Kusham one has to keep an eye on - perhaps the real Kusham - if so, then all the good stuff about Niren is applicable to him, even though he has definitely been the dabbler as well! Too bad that Niren and Viren have not been as bold as him in cross cultural relationships - wonder if their pal Vishwananda has enlightened them as yet!?
So where do we place Niren - this is the cherry on the icing on top of the cake - he was a nice Indian in his last birth.....no seriously he really was!! Wonder which country he was born in though - wonder if he knew uncle Banjo - maybe then we would have called him uncle Niren!! In all seriousness, maybe my mate's cousin who passed away very recently might have recognised him. So what secrets of his past birth is Niren hiding?
.
.
Update Feb 2007
One of the very biased things that my mate has tapped into in her spiritual healing is Vishwananda's tendency to look down on other people's cultures, especially in their particular religious practices. This even extends to other Hindus who would not particularly conform to his cultural practices which appear quite orthodox and are based on his upbringing. For example people from the south of India often have alternative Hindu practices then those of the North (or even West or East) - there seems to be no support from Vishwananda regarding this, even a backlash from him - one wonders if this is a backlash to Sathya Sai Baba who for example is based in the South!! Interesting how Viren and co view this? Suspect that Kiren has been particularly tolerant (maybe even supportive) of Vishwananda's antics. No wait a minute, it's still Viren who's at fault here - will not put this particular one on Kiren. Maybe Niren will have to step in to help but seems Niren has a lesson to learn as well although he may be ambitious for spiritual potential after all from these 2 bros!

Follow-up:
I'm sure many are wondering if these brothers really exist - well for those who know them, they definitely do exist! They exist as much as Lavam and Kusham once existed!! So what is there current connection to Vishwananda?? Probably not a good one thanks to Viren's shenanigans. So what does that mean - might it mean that Vishwananda is happy to let others take the fall on his behalf - at the end of the day, he is the self proclaimed 'guru' so should it not be up to him to accept responsibility!? Or perhaps he owes his 'success' to these brothers and others like them for instance!? Either way, it appears that Vishwananda has benefitted materially in a huge way thanks to Viren, Kiren and Niren - but they are unlikely to be recepients of his goodwill if issues of conflict come in to play; their very goodwill to him may likely be their very downfall and will Vishwananda be there to cover their backs ? Congratulations to him if he does...but suspect that the wave of materialism is stronger than any loyalty to his old supporters..
.
.
Update April 2007
It's not April fool but just when I thought things were quieting down with Viren @ co, it seems another revelation is in order. I'm not in the business of apologising to Viren but will be big enough to do so here - no it wasn't him who had the issue with 'south' Indians - it was Kiren all along - yes, brother from the former life turns out to only endure specific type of Indians - can't stand any association to Sathya Sai Baba (NB, who is from the south)!! You're going to love this one - yes, there is also a sister involved - more aligned to Kiren and a definited dabbler in her own right - great role model for 'women' eh....hmm - in case you're wondering no happy relation to Lavam or Kusham either! Many names spring to mind when thinking of Kiren but will let Viren or even Niren handle him. Niren's wife remains the best bet - no seriously - Lavam, Kusham and the rest 'pale' in comparison to Nambirajan's father who was their ancestor! Niren's wife could pretty much deal with the who family especially Kiren's sister who seems to feed off the theory that people from the north of India are fair and people from the south are darker!! Yes I'm sure you see the humour here - forget accepting other race groups - why don't these darn 'Indians' sort themselves out! We've chosen to specifically like the darker types on principle....hmm....can't even rely on Kiren's former lives for this one. Anyway maybe Kiren's sister will learn something although it seems like being princess Bollywood is too much in her blood! The problem with her is that she can't use the excuses of Kiren's teenage years. See a movie script on this family coming up soon - wonder what the influences have been on good ole Swami V - wonder if he likes Kiren's sister or not!?

Follow-up:
So if Yogananda can have a couple of incarnations why can't others do the same. I like using the Gandhi example since Yogananda seemed to like him a great deal - what are the odds that Gandhi has taken more than one incarnation - probably very high if everything is relative. One puts Kiren high on the list as a possible incarnation - maybe God's idea of a very good joke!! Furthermore what about Niren - what are the odds that he just about started to follow someone like Sathya Sai Baba in his last birth - now is it a step down or a step up that he has been looking towards Vishwananda?! Well hopefully if we ever hear from them we can confirm one way or the other. Maybe Viren is feeling obliged to help out with all the shenanigans!!
.
.
Update May 2007
Ok, so quite a few epiphanies have come through over the last few weeks; one is that even Niren's wife cannot be let off the hook.
But the first one I want to mention is my mate's view of the role of Sathya Sai Baba whom she takes her cues from. Apparently his literal physical appearance as well as his cultural characteristics have to be accounted for spiritually. So, he is from the south of India, short in stature, with an Afro, has standard Asian complexion, as well as having a higher pitched voice and being slightly effiminate in manner. If you think about it, this represents the cross-section of people who are likely to be discrimated against. So if he is the so-called most powerful ''avatar'', maybe these are the people he is calling to be empowered.
.
So who are the dis-empowerers!? Yes, you guessed it - Vishwananda, Viren and co....It's the new brand of yogi imperialism! Now one of the discoveries is that all these characters have at least one or more of these prejudices. Align them to Vishwananda and what do you get? - A bunch of ''spiritual'' people who are tall, fair etc etc with only the men really being respected. Seems with their followers, if you meet at least one of their list of criteria you might be okay. And then what happens to Vishwananda, Viren and Niren - well Kiren takes over the world cause he is the fairest of them all!! A new fairy-tale comes to light!
.
So, to use some politically incorrect terminology, my mate (as well as myself) may be considered vertically challenged. But we have yet to meet a short person who doesn't have a brain!
So what of Niren's wife? It stands to reason that she must be a tall woman who likes punjabi men, the fairer the better! Unfortunately we don't have any close punjabi acquaintances among our peers to comment on this.....considering we have a pretty wide cross-section of Asian acquaintancs, this probably says something in itself.....hmm.
I may highlight some of these points, in particular regarding Sai Baba, on the main 'godmen' page in the near future since there are some fairly profound insights put forward.

Follow up:

Viren, Viren, Viren - what the heck to we do about you!? Nuff said!! Heaven, where is Victor when you need him - may need to get help from Jomo Kenyatta!

.

.

Update June 2007
Deciphering Viren's story is really a huge jigsaw puzzle. Just when you think you have it figured out, a new twist occurs. Now they are all real stereotypical caricatures. We have said very little about Viren's wife....hmmm. Wonder why? Is she so protected by good ole Visham (whose name means 'poison' by the way in many Indian languages, as a quiet point to note)? Or is it just a case of being a little hen-pecked as far as ole Viren is concerned...can see him cringing; hopefully none of the wives will take the brunt. Now in this syndicate Viren's wife plays quite a crucial role. As far as the women go, the main emphasis has been on Niren's wife, although we have tackled the Kiren's dancing bollywood princess as well….By the way, there’s another even older brother who wears the specs….mmm maybe he’s the smart one since we’re onto sterotypes. But Viren's wife has been flying under the radar all the time - no pun intended! We really do have to take a hard line with her though as she is also a mother. These ladies have probably all been iniated into Vishwananda's version of kriya yoga along with their husbands, partners whatever, but are so hopelessly ill-equiped for the incomprehensible awakening that is almost certain to occur as well as the potential information overload. I mean, they have made an entry into God's pure realm along with all their unresolved karmas and issues - poor God, where does the Allmighty do!?

Viren and his wife have children, one of whom is also very likely to have come from a great life, whether with King, Mandela, Gandhi or Tilak - was Viren and co deliberately drawn by Visham back in the day....obviously! As parents though, why are they risking a karmic burden on their innocent kids. Okay so does Viren have sons or daughters - unfortunately they are girls - why unfortunately? Yes, you've guessed it, a son would be more valued - see what we mean about them being the stereotypical caricatures!! Same goes for Niren and his wife - lucky for them (at the moment) since they have a son. As for Viren’s wife, congratulations on being all for her culture – problem is, she doesn’t extend it to other cultures as well (unless you’re a tall, fair muslim guy) – can you all believe the nonsense we’re obliged to write!!!? Where did Visham find these people – or where did these people find Visham? Anyway damn Kiren’s necklace is all we have to say. Now as for the rest of them, some of them seem to like someone like Gandhi which is really strange since all contemporary people know that Gandhi was a great champion for humanitarian rights and was pretty much the first modern 'male' feminist!! Wonder if Vishwananda knows what the word 'feminist' means....mmm!? Unless a radical transformation occurs, Viren and co's kids are sure to carry their parent's burden which will intensify as time moves on. No respect is due to Viren's wife either because as a women, she lacks maturity and condones what is happening through Vishwananda and Viren & Bros. She also continues to be highly supportive of Vishwananda's shenanigans perhaps at the expense of their children - Viren can't really be bothered; daughters won't amount to much in their world anyway, even if great beings or otherwise. This may also be a warning to Niren's wife as God does not distinguish between men or women on the grand karmic scale. Even though he has one notch above Viren by having a son, Niren might even wish he was a little hen-pecked now himself.

Since they are Bollywood lovers, thanks to Aishwarya Rai for her latest movie!! Hmm, God works in mysterious ways....wonder if Viren will or won't want to lose the beard! Is it Niren or Viren's wife who will agree...eh.

Follow-up:
More input - remember in the early days of 'Viren's shenanigans', a character by the name of Jaf - also one of the group of 'soul-mates'. The defining point about him at the time was to do with a yaught and perhaps some kind of accident (not necessarily on the yaught). The reality is that he is also another mad-cap, to say the very least. But what is the deal with the accident – perhaps it is the will of God that someone in this group has passed on. Was this person one of the great beings of the last few lives we love to chat about – very likely, yes! Was this person way too caught up in Visham & cos shenanigans - definitely! Did this person pay the burden for Visham and perhaps others - definitely! Could Visham have saved this person and perhaps others by choosing to reform and own up - almost certainly! Among other things, for someone desiring 'guru' status Visham is the epitome of cowardice for not taking on his own burdens. If you have normal human failings, then drop the 'guru' status immediately! For those people that see Visham as their 'guru' please be aware that your karmic attributes are becoming more complicated and that a real guru will protect all the people close to you. If someone passes on, then there would have been no other alternative. This is a really important fact - like going to a doctor, a spiritual healer or guru will do everything possible to save peoples lives, not make excuses if they have passed on.
For people who may not have survived the burdens of people like Visham, may their souls be in peace and for others, know they have returned to the guidance of God.

.

.

Pre-July Update
Didn't think we'd have an update so soon but the info keeps pouring in - case of infomation overload even on this side!! Anyhow, would like to title this particular update 'Niren's wife'.
This lady (preferable to use some other adjectives) is some piece of work. Was she once Nambirajan's father - yes!! Would Nambirajan's father like to punish her as she is bringing him down - yes!! Her saving grace so far has been Nambirajan's father but this can only be thanks to ole Visham who loves celebrating the celebrity lives (as long as you're on his side of course). So what is the real Niren's wife all about?? She worships Visham, in more ways than one; she also has a taste for Vishnudeva Saraswati slash Sri Padma Ananda (where the heck do they find these names!) and the other 'western gurus'. She definitely likes Kiren, Jaf etc etc, she probably also likes our elusive pal 'Viren' and somewhere in the midst of all this she also likes her hubby Niren. She actually makes the other women in this syndicate seem saintly esp as she fully supports the 'dabbling' lifestyle. She has a son - the question is, who is the father in the swinging scenario? Remember allegations of Yogananda - could history be repeating itself!?

Anyway this woman gives new meaning to the term 'prejudices'. And considering she's a favourite of twenty-something Vishwananda, that is particularly worrying. Since they take their cues from the movies, may we recommend a change in genre; as God would have it there is a movie on circuit that she could learn some valuable lessons from - the men revolving around her would also benefit amazingly enough by watching William Wilberforce!!

.

.

Update July 2007

So are are going to do a slight turnaround for this update - no, Viren and co have not suddenly become ''good'' although stranger things have happened. Actually we are going to revert back to Zaph; remember, another brother from previous life and once Kusham! Well hats off to Zaph and his brother (in this life, note) - they cannot handle Viren, Visham and co anymore than we can!! Glad to have a few on our side. We can honestly say they as South Africans say keep away from this country at least!

.

Not to say that South Africans don't have their faults either - advice, especially for some of the ladies - these guys are not eclectic....they are dabblers!!

.

.

The end (for now)!

.

Final Update (i.e just before the ‘final final update’)

Well, in the wake of ‘Gandhi My Father’ we would like to extend our thanks to ‘the brothers’, by no means forgetting the emerging ‘sisters’ as well (but that’s a whole other story)! Special mention must be made to the Kushams (Kushathalams), Lavams (Lavathalams), Chandraketams, Kumudavatiams, Kumudanams, Virochanams, Arjunams (think you catch the drift here!), Abhimanyams and of course the Nambans (Nambirajans). As Viren & co start the ‘long walk’ it may be appropriate to quote from the bard himself, ‘all hail the brus, the sisters all hail’!

.

.

.

Final Final Update (We hope so!)

Well if you're having withdrawal symptoms on what Viren & co have been up to, it is safe to say that their long walk has begun! That also goes for people in our own backyard, in a manner of speaking - remember the poor ladies from this neck o' the woods who had also been taken in thanks to all the dabblings no doubt - well hopefully the Visham/Viren duo are no longer their surrogate 'gurus'. Chela is a suitable name for one of the ladies - no pun intended since 'chela' also means 'deciple' - undoubtedly she has lived up to the name as far as the V-V duo go.

As for the cricket and bollywood group that have been entangled in this world, remember that if you are wondering who you were in some life, take note that ‘’Ricky Martin’’ was once Gandhi. We did mention a fast bowler at some point – probably right-arm, quite recently retired…..maybe Ricky Martin who is a Yogananda follower can also enlighten eh! Could it be Waqar Younis !?

As for you poor Indians from the 'south' also waiting to be selected by the V-V elite circle of ‘deciples’ - sorry to say that you will continue to be waiting so better look elsewhere. Maybe people like Chela will enlighten….hmm. Vishwananda may have been Yogananda who may have been Shakespeare (yes the literary genius) who may have been 'William the Conqueror' who may have been Arjuna but no, some of us just do not meet the criteria of being accepted by someone who was once William the Conqueror!! Thank goodness I say!

If you think I'm losing it, look no further than these sites:
http://oaks.nvg.org/w9.html
http://www.ananda.org/inspiration/books/place/28.html
http://www.ananda.org/inspiration/books/place/4.html
http://www.ananda.org/inspiration/books/path/38.html

The fact that 'Avatar' and William the Conqueror have been mentioned in the same chapter written by Yogananda's direct deciple kind of sums it up. Yes it is true - Yogananda did say one would have to be an avatar to do his work and did also say that he was once William the Conqueror. I leave the debate open.....!

.

.

.

Conclusion – August 2008

.
Overall Niren’s wife has been so far dealt with pretty harshly – to be fair to her, she is probably a relatively normal person with decent points as well who came under a situation to be scrutinised as many of the individuals in ‘Viren’s Shenanigans.’ Likewise with even Viren and Niren and all the other characters, who are likely to have some good characteristics as well.

It is an interesting world that became exposed in the limelight. When following a spiritual path, one has to be careful as all may not be what it seems. If you are on a path where you may learn of previous births, great responsibility comes with this as well.

.
In consideration of someone like Vishwananda for example who makes various claims, if you learn of being great souls like Lavam and Kusham, Arjuna or Abhimanyu, what does this mean for you as an individual. This is one of the main underlying points of ‘Viren’s Shenanigans’.

.

.

Related page by Suven : http://was-yogananada-a-yogi.blogspot.com/

.

.

Links:

.

,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Dynasty

,

http://www.freeindia.org/biographies/greatpoets/kalidas/page3.htm

,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ikshvaku_dynasty

,

..

.

..

Further links (Oct 2009): But just when one section of the 'robe-wearer's' clan starts to settle down, the boat rocks again in another area. Picture a beautiful woman - a sublimely beautiful woman - maybe she's perfect; is there such a thing? Her ideals perhaps portray inner and outer beauty as mutually dependent........until one enters the bedroom!! Hmm... Vishwananda likes her (maybe loves her in his own fiendish way) - enough said!

So this beauty of beauties has made her way to South African soil - think Viren's covert friends from the ''South'' (no country specification required) may have to render their services!

.

A sudden memory - remember the potential imminent yaught accident perhaps relating to someone called 'Jaf', then again perhaps not - not sure if that did occur - it would have been unfortunate as the victim may have been a woman, maybe the sister - obviously Vishwananda would not be devoid of insight - is the sorry swami their worldly mate, or a karmic one!?

.

Going back to our 'serial' beauty (yes competition even for the Aishwarya Rais') - scarily enough she has found some kind of home in Durbs by the sea. Note she is ambitious - the feminist of favour is her goal - but ladies beware, you will be forgotten in the 'boudoir' and please keep your daughters away from her - this was a genuinely disturbing piece of awareness - here's hoping that her partner has not had and will not have little girls unless of course he really happens to be the "right" one....if so, 'child welfare' may have to be called.

.

Remember our South African friends, Zaph and co - seems like they're no longer (soul) mates as kind of predictably they fell prey to the temptation from the fair beauties - okay, so one or two of the ladies may be smaller size-wise but discarding our crucial 1860 history is still under threat. Anyways why are sincere humanitarian beliefs so difficult to fully comprehend, forget practising!? Believe me if the darker beauties were at equal fault, they would be named and shamed but we have failed to find them!! Ahh think the Ghandhis' have also been failing here - failing to protect the quintessential Indian woman from the onslaught of the tall, fair West! This somewhat petite, olive'y', sultry woman is usually the embodiment of inner strength (sometimes 'outer' as well :). Yes yes I know, we can still find them in the southern territories (in all honesty maybe in the north as well outside of the average wannabe-bollywood home)!

Well we have to say 'thank you' Sathya Sai Baba for choosing your form! 'Mother Meera' (bizarrely from the south), Vishnudeva Sarasvati (aka Padma Ananda) and Vishwananda's circle (where Ammachi fits in we have no idea as yet, though her main 'swami' deciple may already be on the side of the fallen 'Yogananda') take note.... We have a dream, we have a dream that the Mandelas' will not fail to fail.......

.

Hope at last........it seems that our serial beauty may have finally been 'snookered' (no pun intended.....) by a tall 'southern' someone no less! Yes, Sathya's Sai's hand is at work. It's still early days but stay tuned.....

.

.

Footnote:

.

Movies to watch

.

It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie or Ghost

Bruce Almighty?? or Invictus

.

Or else, obviously 'Winona Ryder' movies! :) Ok, fair enough - Denzel's Masala movie will do!

.

By the way, Eddie Murphy has been a 'yogi' - what about the paleontologists?

.

.

Viren's shenanigans

.

Kusha / Lava - what happened to them

.

Email: sharewithsheen@yahoo.co.uk

.

Characters:

Viren - eldest brother; political hero in last birth, now probably a seemingly nice guy that most people like esp the 'parents' - the question is what lies below the surface; a Lavam likely....

Kiren - second brother; no reason why he is named Kiren - okay this guy has had the biggest influence on Vishwananda to date; a major dabbler and as it turns out, once Kusham aka brother from the last life that we had initially identified as Niren.

Niren - third brother; definitely has been a wild boy! - also influenced by his second brother but identified him as a very upstanding citizen South African 'Indian' in his last birth; here's a new one - possibly once Kusham's son.

Was amused about the comment on Vishwananda being the demon that killed Kusha, so decided to have a bit of fun about what has since happened to them.

.

,

Part I
.

My take on Kusha, or Viren as I now like to call him is that he is an odd-ball of sorts. Probably a Nairobi born Asian whose father studied Law in Britain. He is in his mid or late thirties, probably in big business and enjoys cricket - no doubt even played cricket, perhaps professionally either in the East African or emirates teams.

But what do we know of his youth - probably private school educated, a bit of a wild kid - emjoyed an extreme sex life, no holds barred; drank and smoked alot; went out with an East African beauty. Unconventionally had more black friends than Asians. Bizarrely enough may have even dabbled in a little bit of magic on the sideline.

So where is Viren now - probably living an affluent life, married with a child as most Asian men ultimately adopt; then again, maybe he still enjoys the single life!

But is there more to the real Viren - what do we know of his past life. What we definitely know is that his past life was in apartheid South Africa as a black oppressed man who chose to stand up and fight for his rights. His comrades were the Rivonia trial members; yes Nelson Mandela, Ahmed Kathrada and the rest. He was imprisoned in Robben island and subsequently hung in a South African jail under treason for making a humanitarian stand. He knew Victoria and Griffiths Mxenge. Very moving though, as my mate picked up on, was that he did leave one or more children behind sadly accepting that his political mission prevented him being there for them much - one wonders who they have become now?

So what would be ask Viren if we found him - how did he know Florence Mkhize?! More so, how the heck did he know 'Banjo' aka Sonny Pillay?

.

.

Update Dec 2006

It seems that there may be need for some clarification on whether Viren really was Kusham - in fact he is most likely to have been Lavam!!

Follow-up

Follow-up

I may highlight some of these points, in particular regarding Sai Baba, on the main 'godmen' page in the near future since there are some fairly profound insights put forward.

.

.

So what is the story with Lavam or is he actually also Kusham - since they are twin souls it's difficult to tell there difference! What about a Kusam, perhaps his name is Zaph, living in South Africa, - an Asian muslim. So what of Zaph's past life - was he one of the son's below or was he was a wild woman (now a famous Bollywood male actor) associated with Motown but also took a stand with Martin Luther King Jr and died by gunshot along with many others in a riot - one of those who died there was the reincarnated soul of Gandhi as a young exceptionally goodlooking black man.

.

One thing to re-establish is that it is Viren's brother who is married with a child. To credit Viren's brother, he did choose a potentially spiritual wife - she may not have featured in the Lava/Kusha life as close to them but she did feature prominently in Nambirajan's life - she was most likely Nambirajan's father (if not, his mother) - she is also potentially respectful of these mad political people. Lava's soul was Nambirajan's grandson. My mate's cousin was very likely Namirajan's mother - interestingly about my mate's cousin is that she was once Kusham's son and there's no messing about with her. Almost definite is that at least two other cousins of my mate were once Lavam! If you'd like to know more about the son of Kusha as well as Kumundanam and Kumundavatiam, look up the 'Raghuvamsa of Kalidasa'.

.

As for Kumunda and Kumundavati, they have taken a number of forms as lovely ladies in the African continent, notably Zimbabwe, save for one 'nice' Tamilian boy from South Africa! Stay tuned for more updates.

.

As for my mate, seems like her brother from her former life, the black panther, is searching for her far and wide - her cousin thinks he's closer than one would suspect! Well actually my mate now has a theory on this - suspect that he is really trying to reconnect to a more radical spiritual essence - may be true for a lot of them i.e some soul amnesia or loss of soul purpose. With the exception of Jaf, it seems that those who took female births in that life or those who have taken female births in this one have had a much better chance of remaining true to themselves and the heart of their spiritual selves - so what has happened to the men? No doubt the same temptations facing all other men! Hmm, so what does that mean for spiritual growth - maybe a recent female birth if you're now a male (and vice versa) helps balance things out!! Otherwise an uphill spiritual battle may have to be the order of the day. Anyway if you didn't surrender to a 'guru' like Vishwananda then you still have a very good chance of reconnecting to your full spiritual essence and your soul mates in a very positive manner - otherwise part of your great lesson may be to win the battle with these yogis!!

.

Also discovered that an old college friend was once Lavam. One bizarre similarity to Viren is that one of my mate's cousins who was also Lavam, has a commercial pilot's license. Strangely enough my mate also had a slight obsession with planes as a child - notably her cousin is also female. So what does Viren thinks about women taking a genuine yogic path - suspect he doesn't buy into that - wonder what Vishwananda's dames would have to say? Suspect many of them don't buy into that either - maybe one of them was at the same campus as us - maybe she is also admitted as part of Swami V's elite circle!!

.

.

Part II

.

So lets find out a little bit more of these young men from Motown and how they connect to Viren. Take a scene of 4 brothers in the late 1960's, probably late teens and early twenties - they were all killed, along with their parents in a riot. Who were these four brothers, who are they now and how do they relate to Lavam and Kusham.

.

.

Update Dec 2006

.

Eldest brother - (Kusham), a successful South African business man most likely influenced by Islam, also very political in his former life.

Second brother - (Kusham), now Viren's younger brother, also influenced by Malcolm X and turned to Islam; could he be punjabi ! an added bit of information is that he may or may not have been killed in a riot - but may have been killed in a war as he was part of the millitary - part of the essence from one of the brothers was questioning how he had died i.e in the chest or head!

Third brother - (Kusham), perhaps our friend Zaph; also influenced by the Black Panthers and spent a lot of time in prison.

Fourth brother - my mate (the female Kusham); also influenced by Malcolm X and Islam starting a path to Mohammed; has South Indian origins - now influenced marginally by all the Sai Babas.

.

Were they good dancers - among the best! Who was their mother and father - the mother, a South African born woman of mixed race; the father - non other than Viren's Muslim friend on the yaught. One poignant thing is that these brothers and their parents did leave a young sister behind who was in school at the time of their death - she was pretty much orphaned. She would now be a middle aged woman associated with the King family.

.

The real question one has to ask though is what is with the Bollywood connection and are the HIV rumours true?

.
.
I see a South African connection with Lava / Kusha - do you?

Furthermore would they be exactly the right kind of men to sort upstart swami Vishwananda - no doubt! So Kusha/Lava, wherever you are, we're waiting!

.

According to my mate, her inner guru is Lord Ganesha's essence - her message from the above young men to someone like Vishwananda is that they hope a black man touches his heart. If this is true for Vishwananda, then is probably applicable to Viren in some way.

.

One question is that why did so many Kushams gather together in their last life - probably to influence a connection in the next birth as part of the spiritual journey and final steps towards that long aspired goal of liberation.

.

.

PART III

.

So who are Viren's soul-mates?

Was speaking to a mate the other day who had spent some years in Zambia and had who connected to Viren during her meditation through her Kundalini healing. She spoke of a vision of a wealthy Muslim guy on a yaught (let's call him Jaf) who was the twin soul of Viren - not such a big deal perhaps, except she saw an accident on the yaught. Invariably conversations led to her connection to Viren - interestingly she said that he was a twin flame. Thanks to the third eye awakening, she could have the insight. But what about the questions about Viren and his alarming power?

.

So what about Jaf - maybe he was Chief Albert Luthuli (or more likely his son or nephew) in a former life and spent some time in prison with people like John Dube and Gandhi. Goodness if those prison walls could talk - Jaf could relate some horror stories of those days. Maybe they came into this life, needing a well earned break! You could also ask Gandhi's relatives in South Africa like his grand-daughter Ela Gandhi (daughter of Manilal Gandhi) about some of the interesting facts - interestingly she has also been party to the 'Gandhi-King' award. Wonder where Nehru is!? Anyway maybe 'Jaf' was also Virochana eons ago - according to my mate, Sathya Sai Baba is the only real authority on Virochana (or Virochanam)!! Maybe he was even Karna, the most powerful warrior of his time.

.

An interesting fact about Gandhi, by his own admisssion in his autobiography was that he was very sensitive as a child - afraid of the darkness and spirits - he eventually got over this by chanting Lord Rama's name - undoubtedly a Kusha/Lava connection! Someone like Gandhi would have had a lot of enemies during his time, even in India, considering he challenged the long entrenched caste system - he was not always popular in his own community and even internal conflicts between him and Muslims and Sikhs would have been rife. Our rebellious friend Niren especially would understand the implications of something like this. Perhaps find out from him about the Guru Gobind Singh connection or even Saint Thomas of Karnataka, alias 'Doubting Thomas'.

.

What of the Kusham's of this world - it would be wise to ask them about Nambirajan and Lord Skanda of Pleiades ?? One thing is almost certain - the Kushas went on to become the Ahbimanyus, on par with Karna as warriors!

.

One interesting point is a Big Brother connection - yes the reality show!! Apparently one of the ex South African housemates was Arjuna and one of the ex UK housemates was Virochanam. Who knew!

.

.

Part IV

.

Viren's connections

So the story of Viren continues.....infact it now takes a slightly different turn as we move to Viren's younger brother. This is where things get a bit more serious - yes even more serious than Viren's dabblings in the unknown or perhaps Niren's dablings into the unknown.

The reality is that Viren's brother has also been strongly influenced by him known as Swami Vishwananda....very strongly influenced, much more than Viren. Has it just been women that have been influenced by Vishwananda's sexual energy - no, men have also been affected by it as well. So this is the warning for men as well who may not be subject to abuse but still may be under influence. As far as Viren's brother goes, well the influence has been pretty deep affecting his personal choices and relationships over some years.

A enlightened master can sort out you guys quite easily if you've come into contact with Vishwananda but still need alot of precautions as it can be imposssible to know who to trust.

.

News Check!

A recent clarification is that it has been Viren's brother who has been the real bad boy - read whatever you may into that! However does that let Viren off the hook - no! Viren's brother has been pretty clued up on Vishwananda's shenanigans unlike Viren who was more inclined towards him - undoubtedly Vishwananda also enjoyed the free travel!!

So with these brothers it's been a case of from magic to 'Yogananda slash Vishwananda's' brand of Kriya yoga! Rather stick to David Blaine if you ask me. Seriously though, going back to Vishwananda's attachment to followers of Sai Baba, the brothers, in particular Viren were commited to Sathya Sai Baba before Swami V's entrance into his life.

.

So as a final take on Viren's connections, spoke to my mate about her visions and was very interested to know about another form of Kusham who is friendly both with Viren and his Muslim mate who had the unfortunate yaught experience - my mate who is also another form of Kusham (and is connected to Sathya Sai Baba) said that this person, an African (or perhaps Carribean) man is among the most spiritually strongest of those helping her at a spirit level. This was specifically interesting as it obviously cuts out all the stereotypical notions of who Kusham might now be - whether a woman or a thirty-something black man.

.

A little more on Viren's connection to his previous life - would Raymond Mhlaba know him? We could also find out a little more from Niren's DJ friend or perhaps he is a record producer of some kind!? My mate has recently discovered that Viren is married as well - his wife and family must be very proud of him regarding his last life - if South Africa turns out to be receptive, he may be pretty viewed as a national hero. Hopefully some 'godman' will provide more enlightenment.

.

We have finally figured out who 'Jaf' was in Kusham's life - he was very likely to be Angada, son of Lord Lakshmana. My friend's mate who tragically passed away earlier this year was once Chandraketu ('Chandraketam'), also son of Lord Lakshmana. So which one of these four brothers may Stanley 'Tookie' Williams have been - the night of his death was one of suffering for my friend - the world was still in a lot of pain.

.

Part V

.

Viren's career

So what does Viren do? Probably was a batsman back in the day - could have been good without the magic! If he is not an aeronautical engineer by now, he is probably a pilot.

Okay so we figured he played cricket - stands to reason that many of his soul mates are probably cricketers - one thing is for sure - one of his twin souls (Niren's twin flame) is a fast bowler.

.

To be fair to Viren though - perhaps he liked sports in his last birth, maybe even cricket. But what about the opportunities in old South Africa - one could ask 'Banjo' or uncle Banjo to young South Africans if he was still alive about segregation and sports. You could also ask Lokamanya Tilak about cricket in India. Even better, you could just watch Lagaan!

.

.

Update - January 2007

There is one point of contention that needs some clearing regarding claims that Vishwananda was the demon that killed Kusha. To be fair to Yogananda's other female South African reincarnation, this should be clarified. It is safe to say that Yogananada's soul was once also one of Lavam's many forms. If you wish to find out about the demon that killed Kusham, best to check with Niren and Viren as they know one of the forms of this being and she may prove an unlikely candidate. Wonder what this means for the karmic link and how it needs to be paid off!?

.

Going back to the original concept of these blogs and Vishwananda's tendency to attach to people's spiritual energy and apparently increase the sexual vibration, it has to be stressed that this is an extremely dangerous practice. The Kundalini experieince is highly complex, but is still a sacred journey and any sexual tampering on the part of so-called yogis or their followers is a serious business that is likely to have repercussions on their children, families and close acquaintances, not to mention deep psychological impacts of those who have come into contact. Who knows what the karmic consequences may be! As far as Niren goes, the desire to be cruel as well as prejudiced esp to women, has been very strong - too bad most parents are out of touch with their kids during teen years - however these brothers may still yet possess a great deal of inner strength.

.
Although there is a lot of humour surrounding this Viren/Niren article, it should be noted that followers of Vishwananda tend to be affluent and many are definitely geared to a lifestyle and social influences that most of us cannot relate to - other than the visible 'charity' works there appears to be a great deal of indifference (sometimes even disregard) to average folk who may encounter a spiritual path. If you fit into their world you may be 'fortunate' enough to be admitted into an unsurprisingly elite circle. The reality is that even if people like Niren and Viren are twin flame/souls respectively of my acquaintances, they are unlikely to ever meet even among spiritual circles - hard to believe that their recent lives aspired for the dignity for men and women alike. So I guess we have to once again go back to understanding what it means to be truly 'spiritual'. Hope is not lost for Niren unless he remains a party to Vishwananda's shenanigans - as for his brother, well Viren's shenanigans may have sealed his own fate although his past life merits are likely to give hope to his redemption from Vishwananda; time will tell.

.

Once again we have reason to be stunned by the antics of Vishwananda followers; this time it's not Viren and co, but the other elites who have been initiated into Kriya techniques. It seems that this particular article has created quite a stir within his circle and many of them are attempting to tap into whatever spiritual energy to discover more on all these fascinating lives. Well you have to be a bit of a dimwit to try to follow someone else's journey or personal evolution. At least with Viren and his bros, they've travelled a similar path until this life! Most of the followers of the young 'swami' would not be able to comprehend the emormity of such experiences. Niren's wife for example is probably constantly calling out for her 'guru' Vish's aid - wonder what secrets her recent past lives hold!! Furthermore Kundalini and third eye awakening is truly a sacred journey - awakening the third eye means awakening to Lord Shiva and this cannot be tampered with. What about the issue of personal space - if this has not been your personal journey then do not interfere with someone-else's.

This article is really meant to be taken in a light-hearted spirit although some very serious matters are covered, but this should be for those who are able to connect personally within themselves. Anyway we'll probably have to get Niren's advice, or perhaps my mate's uncle Gan (no association with the name 'Gandhi' by the way) will step in!

.

.

My final thoughts on this article is the enormity of the Kundalini experience and what it may reveal. It may just take some contact with someone like Vishwananda to cause an accelerated awakening. Most times, at its worst, in can be tragic - rarely, at it's best, for a spiritually strong person it can enable personal evolution which should lead to greater connections.

.

An interesting take on Yogananda: http://was-yogananada-a-yogi.blogspot.com/

.

Worth noting that Yogananda also knew Gandhi well, among other leaders. A more serious point though is that most of the above information is likely to appeal mainly to non-Europeans. So what are the implications for those who cannot directly connect or relate to these experiences. Clearly what is coming out is that a politically active life with direct experience of a human rights injustice is necessary for the individual soul's journey. So where does that leave Vishwananda's group which is made up largely of Westerners. This is not to say that people from the West cannot directly relate to these experience but it does not seem part of what Vishwananda's group puts forward.

Perhaps the best example of being able to relate to these experiences is from Yogananda himself - as mentioned on my other pages, he took another birth as a white female South African. This person would be a part of South Africa's changing history and would be able to appreciate and possibly relate to the above. This person would also appreciate the spiritual value and soul growth through a very dynamic social environment. Maybe this is what Vishwananda's group needs to ultimately learn.

.

.

Please see 'Viren's Shenanigan type='text'>Sai Baba, Vishwananda etc; the question of godmen

An increasing concern on the subject of bogus gurus has initiated the motivation to write a passage on the question of Godmen which hopefully attempts to provoke a deeper enquiry into the nature of gurus and the so-called enlightened beings who have become increasingly fashionable in the quest for divine growth.

What I have learned is that an uplifting spiritual experience can become quite addictive. One may wonder what wrong there can be in that. Surely the point of spiritual upliftment for most of us is to yearn for more until we reach inner fulfillment or peace! The most common problem facing the modern spiritual seeker is lack of adequate guidance. A specific avenue can seem quite tempting but may in fact be potentially detrimental, even disastrous, to an individual. Wandering through a few avenues of attaining spiritual heights, stories have arisen; stories of abuse of yogic power, scandal, lust, sexual abuse, kundalini mistreatment, possession, imposed soul ties and severe mental and emotional torment. Hence it is worth delving more deeply into the essence and nature of these ostensibly great beings. Invariably there appears to be an increase in the number of persons with a great deal of yogic power who are able to make a very lucrative living from demonstrating such abilities although having no sincere interest in the spiritual development of their followers. They may conduct themselves in a way that suggests that they have great abilities and knowledge, but will they really stand the test of time as individuals advance in their own intellectual and spiritual awareness. Unfortunately a surprising number of individuals, particularly women in their twenties, thirties and forties have found themselves in unsolicited, and usually vulnerable positions at times. Tragically their stories often remain obscured as societal pressure and judgement disallows their freedom of expression. Moreover many of them find themselves entrapped by the false spiritual teacher, master, guru or swami and fear prevents them from voicing their afflictions.

Although most of these bogus gurus are men, there are a few women as well who also operate in the West claiming to be avatars or enlightened souls who also demonstrate questionable practices. The obvious way of detecting their authenticity is whether there is any obligation to pay an amount of money including the so-called 'minimum donation' for what is called 'darshan' or divine transmission of blessings. There should never be an obligation to provide any money for just being in the presence of someone, especially someone who claims to be a master or avatar. A true avatar will never demand anything from anyone and will give freely of themselves as part of their unconditional love.

It must also be said that many of the numerous channels of spiritual development are indeed full of love and wisdom and can be extremely uplifting to its diciples and followers. However blind acceptance is not the answer and furthermore, demonstration by one of yogic or other forms of power does not necessarily equate to an enlightened being. One does have to question the nature of the so-called Godmen.

Sri Sathya Sai Baba is a primary example - God incarnate or Avatar, man of miracles, spiritual giant or fake (as many recent reports would have you believe). With his trademark afro of disctiction, he has become increasingly shrouded in controversy over the last few years. His followers are numerous, many millions worldwide; a few are profoundly devoted, a greater proportion are primarily seeking his blessing and benevolence as one who can take care of them and cure them of their varied problems. Alongside his controversies are his acts of great deeds - a thriving town in a remote part of India with a university and hospital of distinction (free of charge to all). Then there are the overwhelming reports of his remarkable miracles of materialisation, being in two totally different places at the same time, curing the sick and even raising the dead. So the decision on this god-man may be a difficult one to make.

Then there are the young upcoming gurus who again seem to find their niche in the West, especially with the increasing number of younger people interested in exploring the spiritual world who remain the obvious targets. See the growing appeal of the so-called young yogi from Mauritius - Swami Vishwananda (also known as Visham). The free flowing praise of him from his followers overshadows those who knew him growing up in Mauritius as someone who had an affinity with Sathya Sai Baba as well, having gone frequently to his ashram. Mauritian sources make mention that he was married to someone in Europe a number of years ago and would also request money from individuals in his home area to visit Sai Baba's ashram periodically in his more youthful days (bearing in mind he is still in his twenties). Yet in recent years there appears to be a detachment from Sathya Sai Baba, with Vishwananda branching off on his own, aligning himself elsewhere and consolidating his own organisation. He has claimed to be the reincarnation of Yogananda, of 'autobiography of a yogi' fame. Whether this is true or not, it is worth remembering that rumours have surrounded Yogananda himself as being something of the ladies man (and perhaps also fathering a child). So the jury's out on this one! As for Vishwananda, the irony is that many of his initial supporters have been followers of Sathya Sai Baba as well and his disconnection gives rise to obvious talk among circles. Vishwananda has become more well known among devotees of Sai Baba, especially in the UK and recent responses refer to younger, more vulnerable women being the target of malpractice (even at a sexual level) after going to see Vishwananda. Apparently a group (predominently from Germany) went to Sai Baba's ashram last year to receive healing after having very challenging experiences with Vishwananda. A few were reported to have received the necessary help. Others perhaps have not been fortunate enough as yet.
One of the difficult things to make sense of is that whatever your impressions of Sathya Sai Baba, he remains an elderly figure with an immense and established following reputed to be engaged in humanitarian activities around the world - this is not a celebration of the organisation which has consolidated around him but an acceptance of the kind of work that has been done as directed over the years. Hence regardless of Vishwananda's abilities or powers, he is still a young man in his late twenties or so who cannot be compared to someone of the kind of stature of Sai Baba. It is bizarre then that he would aim to connect to followers of this elderly guru (or god-man if you believe this) and at the same time dis-associate from him as an avatar whom he once followed as well - unless, of course, it has become a mere case of competition. One wonders whether Sai Baba may have something in store for those who are riding the gravy train, so to speak.

And so the questions continue about these god-men and enlightened beings..........

On a more sensitive note, if you feel you would like to share a story that you may normally find difficult to talk about regarding seemingly enlightened beings, feel free to comment here (anonymous or otherwise).
.

.

.

VISHWANANDA UPDATE

http://vishwananda-shenanigans.blogspot.com/

.

.

.

VIREN'S SHENANIGANS - UPDATES

A bit of fun on the comment below on Vishwananda being the demon that killed Kusha.
